PARTICIPATE! HELP DESIGN AN OPEN INNOVATION CHALLENGE FOR FAB LABS

Description

COVID 19 showed us the potential of mobilizing us around a common cause. Yet, in schools and in certain communities, the collaborative and innovative potential of the Fab Lab Network may still seem abstract. Robotics competitions help form communities around STEM subjects and excite students, professors, teachers, and mentors to work hard and get involved. How might we mobilize and challenge the Fab Lab Network in a similar way while remaining uniquely tied to the diverse output, interests, and talents that make-up a “how to make almost anything” community?

Lets gather for a round-table discussion and brainstorming session designed to bring out the best ideas on what Fab Labs are capable of when they are working together towards a common cause. Together we will evaluate what interest an ongoing global Fab Lab challenge and use Fab16 to prepare a formal proposal for future events.of working group
